Keyhole-Front Dresses: Check the Clasp Opening

Neckline checks

A front keyhole can sit exactly where a clasp would otherwise be hidden. Before choosing Pop Up, compare the opening with the position of its front clasp. Some keyholes are small and high; others extend down between the cups.

Check the center separately

Look at the keyhole while wearing the dress. Both cups may be covered while the connecting clasp is exposed. A product that solves shoulder straps can still be the wrong match for a central opening.

Check the fabric around the opening

Move into a seated position and notice whether the keyhole widens or shifts. Do not choose cup placement solely to hide the clasp if the resulting fit feels uncomfortable. A different garment or bra style may be the more practical choice.
