How to choose inserts for your bra
If you want to keep your existing bra, choose inserts that suit its cups and have room to sit comfortably inside them. Check the bra's fit first, then the product size chart. Extra padding is not a fix for a bra that already feels tight.
VELUNA Pop has double-sided adhesive polyurethane foam inserts. You can use them inside a suitable bra or tight, structured top, but they do not replace garment support. Pop Up is a standalone adhesive bra, not an insert for your existing cups. See the Pop and Pop Up product pages for that distinction.

Choose the right product type
Start with what you want to keep wearing. If your bra already works under the outfit and you want added shape, an insert is the relevant category. If the bra's straps or back band show, inserts will not remove them.
| Option | Where it belongs | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Removable bra padding | In a bra designed to accept that padding | Check the bra's instructions, pocket shape and the pad's size. |
| VELUNA Pop | Inside your existing bra | Use Pop's size chart and supplied instructions. Check cup space and coverage with your outfit. |
| VELUNA Pop Up | Worn as an adhesive bra | Use the separate Pop Up sizing and application guidance. It does not keep your existing bra on. |
Pop and Pop Up are different products even though both address outfit fit. Read Pop or Pop Up? if you are unsure which one matches your outfit. This guide focuses on Pop inside an existing bra. The box also describes use inside a tight, structured top, with fabric contact outside and skin contact inside. That is not standalone-bra use and does not make every dress suitable.

Check your bra before adding volume
Try on the bra without inserts. Check whether the band feels comfortable, the cup edges sit as intended and the bra stays covered by the outfit. If it already digs in or feels too full, reassess the bra before adding anything inside it.
A padded or molded cup is not an automatic yes or no. Look at the actual space available. More padding can change the way the cup sits, so do not choose by the label "push-up" alone.
A gap is not proof that an insert will solve the fit either. Compare the bra's fit without padding and follow the bra manufacturer's fitting advice if something seems wrong. Your goal is a comfortable combination, not to force a product into a cup that cannot accommodate it.
Use Pop's size chart
Find your full bra size, including the band number. Then look it up in the Pop chart. The product letter is not simply your bra's cup letter.
| Pop size | Bra sizes listed in the current chart |
|---|---|
| A | 30A, 30B, 30C, 32A, 32B, 34AA, 34A, 36AA |
| B | 30D, 32C, 34B, 36A, 38AA |
| C | 30DD, 32D, 34C, 36B, 38A |
| D | 32DDD, 34D, 36C, 38B, 40A |
For example, both 34B and 32C map to Pop B in this chart. A 32B maps to Pop A. Do not size up because you want a more dramatic result or assume that a matching cup letter means the right product size.
These mappings match the Pop product page and the VELUNA size guide. Check the current guide before ordering. If your full bra size is not listed, do not infer a fit from a nearby size or a photo label. Use the contact page to ask before choosing.
Test with your actual outfit
Use the instructions supplied with your inserts for preparation and placement. This checklist is for assessing the result, not replacing those directions.
- Put on the bra and outfit without inserts. Notice the original cup edge, neckline and silhouette.
- Check your Pop size against your full bra size. Keep the Pop and Pop Up charts separate.
- Wipe the pads clean and let them dry. Prepare clean, dry skin without lotion or oil. Inside the bra, place each pad low and to the side with the thick edge down, not over the front. Scoop the breast up and inward toward the center onto it. Press firmly through the bra so the outside grips fabric and the inside grips skin, then check symmetry.
- Put the outfit back on. Check that the inserts stay covered and the cups feel comfortable.
- Sit, reach and turn. Check for a new outline, cup-edge pressure or movement you do not want.
- Compare with the original fit. If the combination feels tight or creates a visible edge, remove the inserts and reassess it.
The how-to-apply page explains which VELUNA product you are using and points you to the supplied instructions. It does not replace the instructions included with your product.
Know what inserts will not change
Pop does not remove your bra's straps or back band. It also does not make a thin top opaque or change your bra's color. For white or sheer tops, solve color and coverage before adding volume; use the white-top guide for those checks.
Nor does one product size promise the same amount of lift for every person. Your bra, garment and preferred fit still matter. If keeping the bra is the problem rather than its shape, compare another underwear option instead of expecting an insert to perform a different job.
Use photos as examples, not size charts
Original VELUNA comparisons are on the before-and-after page. They show examples with supplied bra-size labels. Individual results vary, and a photo is not a guarantee that your bra or outfit will look the same.
The product images on this guide are illustrations from VELUNA's current store. They show the product's shape, not measured lift or a wear test. For the final decision, combine the verified size chart with your own fit check rather than judging by a cover image.
Questions about bra inserts
Can I use inserts in any bra?
Not always. Your bra needs comfortable room for the added volume, and the inserts need to stay covered. Follow the product's instructions and check the fit with the exact bra and outfit you plan to wear.
Is my Pop size the same as my bra cup letter?
No. Use your full bra size in the chart. For example, 34B and 32C both map to Pop B, while 32B maps to Pop A. An unlisted size is not a confirmed fit.
Can I put inserts in a padded or push-up bra?
Check the actual cup space rather than relying on the bra's label. If the bra already feels tight, more padding is not a good starting point. Test the cup edge, comfort and outfit outline after following the supplied placement instructions.
Can I wear Pop without a bra?
Pop can also be used inside a suitable tight, structured top, following the packaged directions. It still needs garment support and is not a standalone bra. When you keep your bra on, inserts do not remove its straps or band. Pop Up is the separate adhesive bra.
How should I care for Pop inserts?
The Pop box says to wipe the pads clean and let them dry before use. No detailed soap, removal or storage protocol is supplied in that source. Follow your own packaged directions or contact VELUNA for those details; do not borrow Pop Up's washing routine. For external use on clean, dry skin, discontinue use if irritation occurs and keep out of reach of children.
Keep your bra. Check the fit.
If your bra has comfortable room and your full size appears in the Pop chart, explore the current Pop options. Recheck the size guide and follow the supplied instructions before wearing them with your outfit.
